banana pudding, my indulgence.

I love banana pudding!

And I've found a way to make it taste good with relatively few points. It still has 7 points though, so if banana pudding isn't "your thing" like it is mine, you probably won't want to splurge 7 points on it. However, if it is, here goes...

1/2 cup sugar free pudding made with fat free milk - 1 point
1/4 cup fat free Cool Whip - 1 point
1 banana - 2 points - that's actually good for you
8 regular 'Nilla Wafers - 3 points - I tried the reduced fat ones, you only save a point and they're NOT worth it!

That's a dessert nice enough to write home about (or a post on a blog).

Wow, I was just thinking about making some banna pudding today. It;s Mike's favorite and I love about as much as he does.
I even bought the vanilla wafers.
I like to make it from scratch, so I was thinking maybe I could use splenda and skim milk. May not get it made till the week end.
I'll let you know how it turns out.
How many points do you think that would be?

I'm not sure about the points if you are making it from scratch. Eggs are 2 points each. If you are using the 1/2 suguar & 1/2 Splenda baking sweetner, I believe that will work out to be about 1 point for 2 tablespoons. If you use fat free or 1% milk, that's 2 points per cup...

well, there was not banna pudding made this past week end. Hubby attacked all the banna's and most of the vanilla wafers before I got a chance to do anything with them. Maybe next weekend.
I did manage to create some extra points by rearranging the furniture in the living room.
But, then I ate angle food cake with ice cream as I enjoyed the new surrounds.
