weighing in...

Thursday night I weighed in at WW, for the month of October. Up only .4 lb. (NOT 4 lb., but .4 lb.) which is TOTALLY amazing since I have so much swelling in my feet and legs from the walk this past weekend. I was very please with the results.

Most of the swelling has subsided but still some remains and I am today, 1 lb. up from where I was before the walk. I haven't been able to exercise this week so I am being careful to stay within my points. Hopefully soon, within the week, I can get back to my routine.

I have a race to run (5K) on the 15th, don't know if I am going to be able to do that or not -- looks doubtful. I went to see my doctor yesterday and she put me on an antibiotic (one of the blisters on one of my BIG toes has gotten infected -- I probably am going to lose BOTH of my big toenails) and she gave me an anti-inflammatory drug. I don't like taking prescription medications but, I think in this case it is merited.

I would do the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walk again next year in a heart beat -- it meant that much to me. But, I would definitely make some improvements in the type of shoes and socks I would wear and I would do more training and take on the walk at a slower pace.

I discovered a wonderful drawing blog belonging to animatic and storyboard artist Anthony Zierhut, when he added a link to my drawing quotes page.
